Trainwreck Blasts Twitch for Failing in Wake of Gambling Ban
The outspoken streamer and influencer has said that things have not been going well in Twitch’s gambling section
Trainwreck has been back for a few weeks now in media headlines, with the streamer discussing the gambling industry and streaming in particular.
One particular issue he raised during a recent stream was that of the effect that the 2022 Twitch gambling ban has had on the gambling section on the Amazon-owned platform.
Trainwreck Thinks Twitch Made Things Worse for Gambling Viewers
In his opinion, Twitch’s decision has led to a widespread affiliate pushing on the platform, which is ultimately worse for the end customer. Trainwreck has recently criticized the use of affiliation codes to promote a service, describing it as the “scumiest way” possible to earn a living streaming gambling content.
He was critical of the practice in his latest rant against Twitch as well. By ousting gaming platforms such as Stake, Trainwreck said, things have gotten “ten times worse” on the platform.
There is massive viewer inflation and botting, and the practises used by existing streamers are hyper-aggressive and deceptive, he further articulated. Trainwreck briefly appeared to have fallen out with Stake and Kick at one point, threatening an influencer exodus from the platform, and said that he had been “shorted billions.”
In another stream, the influential streamer argued that affiliate pushing was wrong and that he himself had lost close to $2 billion by refusing to take such deals.
This is rather amusing given that the streamer recently appeared to be taking a call from Adin Ross, a fellow streamer, and telling him that he couldn’t give him any money because he (Trainwreck) was broke after losing $10 million in two days.
