Thunderkick Boosts Romanian iGaming Exposure with MaxBet

The prominent supplier has strengthened its positions in the regulated iGaming market in Eastern Europe through a tie-up with a leading local operator

Thunderkick, a slot developer that focuses on building unique and innovative titles, has expanded further into the Eastern European iGaming market through a partnership with Romanian online casino operator MaxBet.

MaxBet Romania Welcomes Games by Thunderkick

This marks an important milestone for Thunderkick, which is an independent operator and is committed to creating titles that defy player expectations. Part of the efforts put into the studio’s game development process rides on establishing franchises and building upon those.

Among the popular titles that MaxBet players may now enjoy moving forward are such options as Esqueleto Explosivo, The Wildos, and Midas Golden Touch, all designed to elevate the experience and help boost engagement and retention for partner operators.

Commenting on this fresh launch, Thunderkick Head of Sales Fredrik Ekholm said that the tie-up is an important way for the company to strengthen its presence in the iGaming market in Romania and the local market.

“Romania remains a key jurisdiction for Thunderkick, and the deal with MaxBet will allow us to further strengthen our market position. The MaxBet brand is an established and well-respected name, and we are confident that our high-quality products will resonate with its player base.”

MaxBet CEO Manuel Bauer was similarly excited about the opportunity to see the company’s local portfolio strengthened with yet another prominent supplier.

Thunderkick’s titles, said Bauer, would help add variety to the platform and innovate the available library of games.

As to the Romanian iGaming market, there have been changes afoot. Notably, the European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) asked the country to strengthen its self-exclusion register, highlighting issues with the current system.

Romania has similarly reached out to tech giants Google and Meta, the owners of the world’s largest search engine and social media platform, respectively, to limit gambling ads that promote illegal gambling websites to local players.

In the meantime, Thunderkick has been expanding its clout in local iGaming markets and specifically pushed forward with several prominent partnerships over the past weeks and months.

Among those were partnerships with 711.nl and JACKS.nl in the Netherlands, as well as CasinoMania and Netwin in Italy.
