Tan Sin Heng Daniel to Head Singapore’s Gaming Regulator as CEO

Singapore’s Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRA) has enhanced its team with a new CEO. The one up to the task is Tan Sin Heng Daniel, who will be responsible for heading the regulatory body. The appointment comes as the Ministry of Home Affairs confirmed GRA CEO Teo Chun Ching’s decision to step down from the position.
Teo Chun Ching to Step Down, Tan Sin Heng Daniel Named as His Successor
According to the recent announcement, Teo Chun Ching will exit the GRA in June, vacating the CEO position. This will mark the end of his 8-year tenure with the authority, during which he oversaw the expansion of its scope from a casino regulator to an overarching gambling regulator for the entire country.
The Ministry of Home Affairs thanked the outgoing CEO for his incredible contributions to the GRA and applauded his leadership abilities, which he leveraged to support the body throughout the modernization of Singapore’s gaming sector.
As Teo Chun Ching prepares to step down, Tan Sin Heng Daniel has been named as his successor. The appointment comes shortly after the Ministry named Wee Teck as the new chair of GRA.
Tan Made Significant Contributions to Road Safety
Currently serving as commander of the Singapore Police Force’s Traffic Police unit, Tan has spearheaded a variety of legal changes to improve road safety in the country. He championed major changes to the demerit points system and the speed limit changes for heavy vehicles, helping to minimize road incidents.
The Ministry of Home Affairs was pleased to welcome Tan as CEO of the GRA. It highlighted some of his prior achievements as commander of the Traffic Police, which included the introduction of modern Electric Vehicle Expressway Patrol cars and the use of artificial intelligence for improved detection of traffic violations.
In addition to that, Tan has held roles at the Ministry of Home Affairs, including deputy commissioner of policy and transformation for the Singapore Prison Service, director of planning and organization for the Singapore Police Force, and commander of the Central Division of the SPF.
