Sin City Sphere Glows Blue Ahead of Election Day
The Sphere’s popularity means that the ad is also sure to show up on social media and reach many more people
As the presidential election looms, Democratic candidate Kamala Harris has secured one of her biggest advertisements yet. Despite Trump’s intense efforts to conquer Las Vegas, it will be Harris’ image that will adorn the Sphere for the entire week ahead of November 5.
The Sphere Promotes Harris’ Campaign
The one-week campaign consists of a flashy ad that plays Beyonce’s “Freedom” while displaying the Democrats’ slogans and encouraging Americans to vote blue. The ad also features Harris’ portrait.
According to reports, the Harris campaign does not mean that the Sphere is siding with the Democrats, rather than the fact that it is backing the highest bidder. A one-week campaign could cost north of half a million dollars. Harris’ ad may have cost more, considering the strategic timing.
In any case, Harris’ face on the Sphere represents an important advantage for the Democrats. The Sphere’s popularity means that the ad is also sure to show up on social media and reach many more people.
Trump and Harris Want to Secure Nevada
Both parties have been vying for votes in Nevada, which remains divided between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris. As a result, the two candidates have spared no effort when campaigning in the state.
Harris and Trump plan to continue their efforts in the final week ahead of the elections and are preparing to campaign in the Las Vegas area. The former will speak at a to-be-announced location in Las Vegas on Thursday. Her Republican rival, on the other hand, is set to show up at Lee’s Family Forum on the same day.
In addition to clashing for Vegas voters, the two seem bullish on attracting crucial Latino votes. Harris’ campaigning will therefore feature Maná, a Mexican pop band. Trump, on the other hand, has been working hard to improve his rating among the Latino electorate and recently participated in a roundtable with Latino voters, discussing key policies.
Americans’ division is exemplified by the close political betting volumes. While certain events, such as debates, have caused fluctuations, the two nominees retain their sway over significant portions of the US, promising a heated election day.
