Scientific Games Names Ovie Doro as SVP of Data, Analytics & AI

The hire will be integral to delivering analytics-driven product growth, personalization, and cross-channel optimization

Scientific Games an international provider of lottery games, technology, analytics and services to government-sponsored lotteries, announced the addition of a new team member. According to the company’s announcement, the experienced Ovie Doro will join the business as its new senior vice president of data, analytics and artificial intelligence.

Analytics Expert Joins the Company’s Team

Scientific Games made the announcement on February 2, confirming that Doro, in his new position, will be tasked with supporting the company’s growth and innovation initiatives.

In his new position, Doro will lead the expansion of the SG Analytics division, which focuses on enterprise analytics, combining deep expertise with profound insights, intelligence tools and data. This combination allows SG Analytics to foster stronger decision-making and increased performance of the broader company’s lottery products.

According to Scientific Games, Dora’s appointment advances the company’s data AI ambitions, supporting its goal to develop cutting-edge lottery games and technology. He will e tasked with “translating data into action across market and channel intelligence, competitive and industry insights, ROI and growth modeling, data engineering, data science and machine learning, supported by standardized reporting and visualization.”

In addition to that, the hire will be integral to delivering analytics-driven product growth, personalization, and cross-channel optimization.

An Important Addition to Scientific Games

The company descried its new appointee as an experienced analyst with years of experience in analytics and machine learning in e-commerce positions. He has helped a variety of businesses grow, including InBev, Walmart, and Jet.com.

As Scientific Games’ senior vice president of data, analytics and artificial intelligence, Doro will report to the company’s chief transformation and strategy officer, Carrie Galvin. Galvin commented on the appointment, saying that it will strengthen the company’s ability to translate data into action and customer value.

Pat McHugh, the company’s chief executive officer, also welcomed the new appointee on board, emphasizing the importance of this new addition due to the importance of advanced analytics to Scientific Games’ business.
