Scientific Games, a leading provider of innovative, secure, and purpose-driven iLottery products, announced that it has become the latest gaming supplier to secure a license in the United Arab Emirates’ budding gaming market.
GCGRA Gives the Green Light to Scientific Games
In its official announcement, Scientific Games confirmed that it has secured a Gaming-Related Vendor’s license in the UAE. With this blessing from the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA), the company has become one of the latest players in the UAE’s gaming market.
This latest approval by the country’s federal gaming regulator would allow Scientific Games to supply its products and services to local entities.
As a key provider supplying products to clients across five continents, Scientific Games boasts a wealth of experience that would be an important asset in its UAE operation. By entering the UAE, the leading provider will get the opportunity to be a part of the shaping of a nascent market.
For context, Scientific Games provides retail and digital games, technology, analytics and services to some 150 lottery operators across 50 countries.
Scientific Games Is Pleased to Enter the UAE
Scientific Games’ leadership commented on the launch in the UAE, expressing excitement about this opportunity. The company’s president of international business, Michael Conforti, said that the leadership is “extremely pleased” to have been given the go-ahead by the GCGRA. Conforti added that he cannot wait to leverage the company’s profound experience to supply unprecedented products to local lotteries.
We look forward to putting our more than 50 years of expertise to work in the UAE to offer high-performing products that will responsibly help drive revenue for lottery programs supporting local communities and projects of national importance.

UAE Gaming Set to Grow
A few years ago, the UAE started warming up toward the idea of regulated gaming. This warming up culminated in 2023 with the creation of the GCGRA, which was founded to regulate commercial gaming activities in the country.
While it is still unknown how far the UAE will go, major casino companies are optimistic and closely monitoring the latest developments.
Speaking of which, the president of Wynn Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah recently commented on the property’s future, saying that it is poised to set a new hospitality standard in the emirates.
