Ras Al Khaimah Announces “Wynn Boulevard” to Connect Casino Resort with Dubai
Government representatives stated that funding of over AED 1 billion ($272 million) has already been earmarked
Ras Al Khaimah has confirmed its plan for a major new road, Wynn Boulevard, which will act as the main link between the soon-to-open Wynn Al Marjan Island resort and other parts of the UAE. Officials unveiled the boulevard during the kickoff of Marjan Beach, a large residential project located next to the casino site.
Fresh Highway to Link Wynn Al Marjan Resort with Major UAE Roads by 2027
Officials say they have set aside over AED 1 billion ($272 million) to fund the project. Graham Hallett, who leads development at Marjan, pointed out that the boulevard will stretch across Marjan Beach and connect straight to the E311 and E611 highways. This means easy access to Dubai and other emirates. He mentioned that they have already signed contracts and started building, reported AGBI.
The Marjan Beach project covers 85 million square feet. It will have 22,000 homes, 12,000 hotel rooms, and might house more than 70,000 people in the future. They plan to finish the new road before the Wynn resort opens in early 2027.
While government authorities are at the helm, Wynn Resorts has a big part to play in the infrastructure project. Plans reveal that Wynn’s in-house design team is working on the bridge’s architecture. The client for this project is Island 3 Infra Enterprises, the infrastructure arm of the partnership between Marjan, Wynn, and RAK Hospitality Holding. Wynn owns 40% of this joint venture, with RAK Hospitality holding the larger share.

The $5 billion resort is taking shape on Al Marjan Island. The developers have confirmed that 61 out of 70 floors are done, keeping the project on schedule to open in 2027. When it is ready, the property will have 1,500 rooms, a marina, high-end restaurants, entertainment spots, and the Middle East’s first legal casino. The gaming area will cover 21,000 square meters, with cutting-edge tech like smart tables and maybe even a system for crypto payments.
For Ras Al Khaimah, the project has an influence on economic change. Officials hope it will help the emirate draw some of the 3.5 million yearly visitors planned by 2030. Wynn thinks the UAE gaming industry could bring in $3 billion to $5 billion each year, while experts say earnings could top $8 billion.
People have talked about Ras Al Khaimah building a Las Vegas-like strip, but Marjan leaders have made it clear that Wynn Boulevard is a practical investment in infrastructure, not an entertainment area. Still, Wynn has gotten trademarks like “Marjan Strip” and “Arabian Strip” in the UAE, which makes people think they might have bigger plans.
Wynn has set aside land on Al Marjan Island to build a second integrated resort. The company has not made a final call yet, but they have suggested they might explore more projects. They have even hinted at the possibility of going public with their UAE operations once their main resort opens its doors.
