Pragmatic Play Brings Portfolio to Luckia’s Global Casino, Spain First
Luckia will implement games by Pragmatic Play with the supplier delivering its portfolio of slot and live dealer games.
Live and Slot Pragmatic Play Games Launch on Luckia
Pragmatic Play has teamed up with iGaming operator Luckia to consolidate its footprint in the Spanish market. The partnership represents a new opportunity for the developer and supplier of casino gaming products to bring its slots and live content to Spanish audiences.
Luckia will benefit from what is a broad range of outstanding titles that includes Wolf Gold, Gates of Olympus, John Hunter and The Dog House. Pragmatic Play VP of commercial strategy Bhotesh Maheshwari welcomed the opportunity, arguing that Luckia is a premier brand in the Spanish industry and the partnership would prove a strong asset for the supplier.
“It’s a huge boost to our profile in the country and represents just the kind of exposure we’re looking for with Spanish players,” Maheshwari added. The partnership will not be exclusively focused on Spain, with Luckia exploring other markets and Pragmatic Play potentially launching in those as well.
Luckia head of product Eloy Fernandez Martinez welcomed the addition of Pragmatic Play to the range of games offered by the studio. “It’s great news for us and our players,” he noted. It enhances an already superb portfolio and adds quality products that will raise the company’s profile even further, Martinez explained.
Pragmatic Play’s content production has been going at full bore, with the live casino, bingo and slot games being its main focus. The supplier continues to build on its strong ties all across Europe. In April, the company signed a fresh partnership with LuckyDays to provide the casino with its live dealer games portfolio.
Pragmatic Play’s Growing Portfolio
Further back, Pragmatic Play signed up with Kaizen Gaming, building the company’s European portfolio even more. Back in April, Pragmatic even struck a deal with GGPoker to provide the platform with live gaming products.
Spain’s sports betting segment has been buffeted by a ream of regulations, including new, more restrictive rules on sponsorships between gambling companies and sports teams. While sportsbooks have felt the pain and the number of active players fell by 29.4% between April and June, iGaming has seemed to be doing well.
Casino gaming in Spain in the first quarter of the year accounted for 41.4% of the total gross gaming revenue (GGR) the country’s gambling industry generated, or around $117 million (€99.5 million), up 28.3% from 2020.
