Powerball Jackpot Reaches Almost $200M as Tonight’s Drawing Looms
In order to win the game’s top prize, players have to match the five white numbers, plus the red Powerball
The Powerball jackpot continues to grow strong, approaching the threshold of $200 million. Whether the game’s top prize will exceed this sum or not would depend entirely on tonight’s drawing.
The Jackpot Is Nearing the $200M Mark
The Powerball jackpot is currently standing at almost $200 million, as the Wednesday drawing looms. The grand prize has reached $194 million with a cash option of $87.1 million after going unclaimed for a few months.
Speaking of going unclaimed, the previous drawing, which took place this Monday, evidently failed to elect a jackpot winner. At the time, the jackpot stood at 180 million with a cash option of $80.9 million.
In order to win the game’s top prize, players have to match the five white numbers, plus the red Powerball. The winning numbers for the Monday drawing were 7, 11, 31, 41, and 57, plus the Powerball 20.
While no one matched all numbers to claim the grand prize, one player in Ohio got a Match 5 prize after matching the five white numbers but not the Powerball. As a result, the lucky participant will get $1 million.
In the meantime, 12 players won the game’s third-tier prize, after matching four white numbers and the Powerball. Of them, 11 won prizes of $50,000 each, while the remaining player took $100,000 thanks to the Power Play feature.
The next drawing is set to take place later today.
Mega Millions Jackpot Reaches $90M
In the meantime, the Mega Millions jackpot survived another drawing and is currently at $90 million with a cash option of $40.1 million.
The first Mega Millions jackpot for 2026 dropped last month and was followed by another win only two drawings later. The first win of the bunch was a $536 million prize that went to a player in Illinois. The second was a $60 million prize that was won by a player in Ohio.
The previous Powerball jackpot was also won in March. It stood at $251 million and went to a player in Arkansas.
