Powerball Creates Two Millionaires as Players in MA & FL Win Match 5 Prizes

A lucky Powerball player in Florida has won a prize of $1 million from yesterday’s drawing, while a separate player in Massachusetts won $2 million. At the same time, the game’s jackpot remained unclaimed for another drawing and has reached $166 million for this Saturday’s drawing.

Two New Millionaires Forged by Powerball

As mentioned, Powerball celebrated two more winners of second-tier prizes of $1 million after players in Florida and Massachusetts matched the five white winning numbers. For reference, the winning numbers were 7, 21, 55, 56, and 64, plus the red Powerball 26.

The Match 5 winner in Florida will take home $1 million, while his Massachusetts peer will grab $2 million instead, thanks to the Power Play feature.

Speaking of Power Play, the Power Play multiplier stood at 4x for the Wednesday drawing. As a result, two of the five players who matched four white numbers and the Powerball won $200,000 instead of the usual $50,000. The remaining three will take home prizes of $50,000 each.

At the time of the drawing, the jackpot stood at $148 million with a one-time lump cash option of $66.9 million. Since the prize remained unclaimed, it has now increased to $166 million with a cash option of $75.2 million.

The next drawing is set to take place this Saturday.

Mega Millions Players Won Big

In the meantime, Mega Millions just awarded prizes of $2 million and $3 million to players in California and New Jersey, respectively. This came not long after the first Mega Millions jackpot for 2026 landed. The life-changing $536 million prize was claimed by a lucky player in Illinois, referred to as “Lucky Lady.”
