Poker Palace Casino Marks End of an Era After 50-Odd Years Running
The iconic venue opened its doors in the mid-1970s and has been a frequented gaming and hospitality venue with its rich history and own pedigree

One of the most iconic properties in Nevada, The Poker Palace Casino, will be bidding the gambling industry its adieu on October 1, 2025. The venue originally opened its doors in 1974, and it has been in business for what are now 50 years.
Poker Palace Casino to Wind Down, a North Las Vegas Landmark
While considered a small casino by all meaningful standards in North Las Vegas, the property has been able to continue operating despite its smaller footprint, capitalizing on its authenticity, legacy, and unique charm.
The property is located near Nellis Air Force Base at 2757 N. Las Vegas has a longstanding lineage. Before it became known as the Poker Palace, the property was known as Bunny’s Bar, and the original construction was finished in 1951.
At present, 126 employees are working at the facility, and they will be losing their jobs as a result of the closure. The exact reasons for the closure are not immediately clarified, other than the fact that it is a response to changing economic realities, which have suppressed the property’s ability to sustain its business model.
Among the people to lose their jobs are 10 poker dealers, 10 security officers, and 10 porters. The gaming floor, which sprawls on 25,900 square meters, will also be winding down.
