Playtech Live Veteran Edo Haitin Leaves After 9 Years on the Job

Edo Haitin, one of the longest-serving Playtech senior executives, has announced in a LinkedIn post that he will be withdrawing from the company to pursue other opportunities. Haitin joined Playtech, as part of a portfolio company he headed at the time, in 2016 and spent nine years with the gambling major in various positions.

Edo Haitin Bows Out After 9 Years in the Company

Between 2019 and 2022 he served as managing director of Live Casino, and prior to that he worked with Euro Live Technologies Ltd, as its CEO, and the company itself was part of Playtech’s portfolio.

Since August 2022, through his LinkedIn resignation, Haitin has been leading the Playtech Live division. Haitin has not shared much in his post, other than expressing his gratitude for the company he spent the last decade-or-so working at in various capacities and across various structures.

Playtech will appoint Marat Koss at the helm of the Live Casino division, as first reported by Next.io. In the meantime, Playtech has had plenty of reasons to be happy with its current situation.

Live Casino Remains Crucial & Thriving Vertical for Playtech

The company reported strong growth for the year ending on December 31, 2024, with revenue increasing 5% on a year-over-year basis to €1.79 billion ($1.93 billion). Live Casino has been among the major verticals to gain a significant boost during that period.

“Live revenue saw strong growth of 24% in regulated markets versus FY 2023,” the company said in a press statement addressing the results in March. In 2024, the company teamed up with Hard Rock Digital in New Jersey and pursued other similar high-profile and lucrative deals across numerous markets.
