Parions Sport Online Merges into Unibet Following FDJ-Kindred Merger
The company reassured existing players that they will be able to continue enjoying its offerings without disruption
Parions Sport En Ligne will become Unibet, marking a new chapter for the French betting operator. The shift follows the acquisition of Unibet’s parent company, Kindred, by the French gaming giant FDJ.
United for the Players
In its official announcement, Parions Sport confirmed its transition to the Unibet brand, saying that this move will provide players with access to even better betting offerings, horse racing, and online poker.
Parions Sport elaborated that it will officially transform into Unibet at the end of March and responded to some questions players may have. The company reassured existing players that they will be able to continue enjoying its offerings without disruption. Once they update their app, it will automatically transition to Unibet, but their existing accounts will remain valid, as long as they accept the new Terms and Conditions.
In addition to that, players’ balance, game credits, current bets, and potential winnings will remain unchanged. As a result, existing players can simply log in with their credentials and continue to play as usual.
In the meantime, players who have accounts on both Parions Sport En Ligne and Unibet will be offered the chance to merge the two. This will also merge any existing balances and bets under a single account.
Parions Sport noted that even players’ safer gaming settings, such as bet limits, will be preserved.
In the meantime, the retail division of Parions Sport, Parions Sport Point de Vente, will remain unchanged and will not transfer to the Unibet brand.
FDJ Acquired Kindred to Become а European Powerhouse
As mentioned, Parions Sport En Ligne’s integration into the broader Unibet brand comes after FDJ United’s acquisition of Kindred. The $2.64 billion deal closed in 2024, significantly reinforcing the presence of FDJ in Europe.
Following that, FDJ rebranded to FDJ United to better reflect its new international identity. Merging the local Parions Sport En Ligne brand into Kindred’s broader Unibet brand is a move that also aligns with this pan-European vision.
The retail part of Parions Sport, however, will remain unchanged per France’s regulatory conditions for approving the FDJ-Kindred merger. While regulators greenlit the arrangement, they said that Kindred Group’s competitive games must not share a common logo with FDJ or Parions Sport Point de Vente.
