One EuroMillions in Ireland Set to Claim $74,000 Jackpot

The lottery was able to provide some of the details about the winner, although no person has stepped forward to claim the prize

A winner from the EuroMillions game in Ireland has emerged, although they did not claim the seven-figure prize. Instead, a single ticket was able to secure an EUR 63,328 ($74,000) payout.

The player won with 10, 13, 14, 38, 41, and Lucky Stars 6 and 9, and the EUR 105 million ($123.7 million) is still on the line. Various other amounts were won by thousands of lottery players; however, with some 57,000 bagging a smaller prize or another. 

The lottery released a statement, recapping the events of the most recent draw, with a spokesperson having this to say:

“Friday night’s draw saw over 57,000 players nationwide win prizes across the EuroMillions and Plus draws, including the Louth player who matched five numbers to win €63,328. As there was no winner of the €105,639,575 jackpot on offer, Tuesday’s jackpot is now set to roll towards an estimated €115 million.”

The National Lottery confirmed that the $74,000 ticket was bought at a EuroSpar on Bredin Street in Drogheda, Co Louth, tipping off the lucky winner to their good fortune that is waiting to be claimed. 

Irish players have certainly known how to win from the EuroMillions game after last December, when a player claimed the grand prize of $20 million, one of the largest single-jackpot wins to have ever been paid in the country.
