Oklahoma City Thunder leads the 2025 NBA Finals series against the Indiana Pacers 3-2, meaning that Game 6 could be the last one. Judging by the betting odds, that’s going to be the case.

The Thunder are favored to win on June 19 for several reasons, including the fact that the Pacers’ talisman, Tyrese Haliburton, is struggling with a calf injury. But “The Haliban” has promised to play on Thursday.

Thunder Are a Game Away from Winning the 2025 NBA

The Oklahoma City Thunder have won the NBA Championship only once in the team’s 58-year-long history. They did this in 1979 when the franchise was based in Seattle. Actually, back then, the team was called the Seattle SuperSonics.

But they now have a chance to bring the trophy to Oklahoma for the first time ever. They’re 3-2 against the Pacers, meaning that they just need one more win to achieve their decades-long dream.

NBA Finals odds favor them, mainly because they’ve been playing incredible basketball throughout the entire 2024-25 campaign. They finished the regular season in the No. 1 position in the Western Conference with a 68-14 record. Then, in the Playoffs, we saw them knock out the Memphis Grizzlies and the Denver Nuggets.

Along the way, their point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander won the NBA MVP award. The best thing is that they’re not a one-man team. They play well even when he’s not around – but he’s gonna be there on Thursday. You know who might not play on June 19? Indiana’s best player, Tyrese Haliburton.

Injured Tyrese Haliburton Wants to Play for the Pacers in Game 6

Along with Pascal Siakam, Tyrese Haliburton has been instrumental in leading the Pacers all the way to the 2025 NBA Finals. But this guy suffered a right calf injury in Game 5. We saw hip hopping off the court early on in the game, which had a horrible impact on his team – they ended up losing 120:109.

However, as per the man himself, he’s going to play in Game 6. “If I can walk, then I want to play,” is what the point guard said after the game. The question, however, is whether injured Haliburton is going to be able to keep up with such mighty opposition as the Thunder.

On the bright side for the Pacers, they have a pretty good roster, with a long bench. Plus, they play on their turf on June 19. At Gainbridge Fieldhouse, they went 29-12 in the regular season, which is a pretty good record. Further, since the start of the Playoffs, they’re 7-3 at home.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Indiana Pacers Game 6 Prediction

With or without Haliburton in the team, the Pacers are just not as good as the Thunder. Sure, it’s a huge game, so they’re 100% certain to give a real war to their opponents on June 19, but we don’t think that’s going to be enough. Our prediction is that Game 6 is going to be the last game of the 2025 NBA Finals.

Pick: Oklahoma City Thunder
