Ohio Woman Secures $1M Prize from Scratch-Off Ticket

A woman in Cincinnati has won $1 million from the lottery. The lucky winner was playing the VIP Millions game, according to an official release by the Ohio Lottery.
Ohio Woman Wins Big
In its official press release, the lottery specified that the woman in question won VIP Millions’ top prize, which consists of $40,000 a year for 25 years. Over time, this prize can stack up to a staggering $1 million. However, players can also opt to pick the cash option and take half the bucks immediately.
In this case, the Cincinnati woman went with the cash option of $500,000. After mandatory federal and state taxes, however, the actual sum was reduced by 28 percent, leaving her with $360,000, the lottery clarified.
The Ohio Lottery further noted that the winning scratch-off ticket was sold at Ameristop Food Mart, a store located at 3385 Springdale Road in Cincinnati.
According to the lottery, VIP Millions is a $50 scratch-off game with a top prize of $40,000 a year for 25 years. The lottery added that, as of the time of its press release, there were 30 more top prizes remaining.
Vegas Newcomer Made an Unforgettable Memory
In other jackpot-related news, a lucky woman from North Carolina just proved that even newcomers to gaming can hit mouth-watering prizes. Referred to as Camy M. the woman was visiting Las Vegas for the first time. Right before departing back home, she decided to hit the casino one last time, only to win almost $600K.
The jackpot was won at Palms Casino Resort, which later clarified that the prize was won from a branded Whitney Houston slot machine, developed by IGT. The property further noted that this was the only International Wide Area Progressive on its floor.
Trainwreck Made History
Speaking of winning big, online celebrity Trainwreck recently won a $37.5 million online casino jackpot. As a fervent gamer and avid critic of the online casino industry, Trainwreck stated that he hopes that his record-breaking prize won’t be beaten by a streamer using fake money.
Trainwreck maintained that he is one of the only streamers who still put real money on the line.
