Just like that, the person who has chosen to remain anonymous ended up winning $1,000,000, the top prize available with the ticket. While the identity of the lucky devil will be withheld, their winnings are a matter of public record.

The winner has chosen to opt for the lump sum payment, which amounts to $500,000 of the original prize after all taxes have been applied. This is not the first time the store has produced a winner, and while the $1,000,000 mystery winner was indeed its biggest, it has not been the only one.

Several weeks back, a player purchased a $5 Monopoly Bonus Spectacular 25 scratch-off ticket and hit the top prize – $150,000. The ticket was bought at the same property, making for a good story, and perhaps earning the venue a bit of a reputation.
