North Star Network Acquires Bojoko to Secure Instant Foothold in iGaming
Julien Josset, co-founder and CEO of North Star Network, said that the acquisition will give his company “an instant footing in the casino vertical”
Global sports media giant North Star Network (NSN) announced Monday that it has acquired Bojoko, an award-winning iGaming affiliate. The deal marked NSN’s “decisive step” into the casino space.
A Decisive Step into iGaming
In its announcement, NSN said that the agreement was officially closed on February 14 and covered all Bojoko assets. Although the former group didn’t disclose the financial aspect of the deal, it said that the acquisition is structured using and earnout payments, representing 3.0-4.5x 2025 EBITDA depending on future performance.
NSN praised Bojoko as an up-and-coming platform that has been going from strength to strength ever since its launch in 2017. The sports media giant added that its capabilities will reinforce the growth of Bojoko, allowing the Malta-based affiliate to become an “even bigger force in the iGaming affiliate world.”
Bojoko’s platforms are regularly used by customers in the UK and Canada who wish to find the best operators for their tastes. In the latter country, Bojoko has played a key role in helping customers navigate the fresh iGaming market. Thanks to this, Bojoko has established itself as trusted name and a go-to site for players seeking to learn which the best iGaming platforms are.
NSN, which boasts a presence in some 30+ countries, is perfectly positioned to help Bojoko reach new horizons. Bojoko, on the other hand, will be NSN’s guide in the exciting world of iGaming.
A Monumental Step for Bojoko
Company leaders praised the deal, which will benefit both parties. Julien Josset, co-founder and CEO of North Star Network, said that his company has been seeking iGaming opportunities and that the acquisition will give it “an instant footing in the casino vertical.” He welcomed the addition of Bojoko into the NSN family and praised the iGaming affiliate for its reputation, user-driven approach, and commitment to innovation and quality.
Bojoko’s casino knowledge is almost unparalleled, and we could not be more excited about the future. Together, we plan to expand Bojoko’s reach internationally, creating even more value for players and partners alike.
Julien Josset, co-founder & CEO, NSN
NSN confirmed that Joonas Karhu, Bojoko’s co-founder and chief executive, will retain his position at the helm of the iGaming affiliate. Karhu commented on the tie-up with NSN, calling it a “monumental step for Bojoko.”
Since day one, our goal has been to empower players with expert insights and easy tools that allow them to make informed choices. With North Star Network backing us, we’re now in a position to enhance our solutions, expand, and bring our expertise in the online gambling space to new audiences worldwide.
Joonas Karhu, co-founder & CEO, Bojoko
Karhu concluded that the partnership with North Star Network “opens the door for unprecedented growth and innovation.”
