Moon Intelligence Unveils VC Arm to Support “Smaller But Sharp” Startups

Moon Intelligence, a business that pairs deep expertise with strategic insight to navigate the complexities of sports betting markets, announced the launch of a new venture capital (VC) division that will support gaming businesses during their earlier stages. Among other things, the London-based firm hopes to capitalize on the growing prediction markets sector.

The Company Wants to Help Others Grow

Moon Intelligence’s new VC arm will be dedicated to supporting startup firms within the gaming sector with funding and mentoring opportunities. The company’s ambition is to scale the growth of smaller companies, allowing them to make quick strides within the complex gaming sector.

In addition to mentoring and funding, clients will also gain access to Moon Intelligence’s data resources and network of partners.

According to the announcement, the launch of the VC arm is consistent with Moon Intelligence’s ambition to grow its presence in the US and establish strong ties with the local betting and prediction markets sectors.

The VC platform is also in line with Moon Intelligence’s previous startup support initiatives. Among other things, Moon Intelligence previously backed sports data firm StatsBomb. Moon Intelligence also boasts a partnership with Project Football, the company behind an in-house predictive model for the sport.

Moon Intelligence Seeks Small But Sharp Pro Punters

Moon Intelligence representatives commented on the launch of the VC arm, highlighting the company’s commitment to helping newer companies within the sector grow.

Alexandre Luneau, the company’s co-founder and chief executive officer, said that Moon Intelligence is open to working with various types of projects. He invited businesses that are struggling to scale to contact his team.

Sabastien Sabic, Moon Intelligence’s co-founder and chief strategy officer, elaborated that the company’s previous wave of investments yielded impressive results for both the recipients and his company. He cited the tie-up with Project Football as a clear indicator of the success of Moon Intelligence’s investment initiatives.

Sabic explained: “By helping the trader grow his coverage with access to more data, it enhanced both his personal trading and Moon Intelligence’s wider offering.”

The CSO concluded that Moon Intelligence remains on the lookout for “smaller but sharp-type professional punters.”
