Mississippi Match 5 Player Scoops $460K Jackpot
Another jackpot has fallen in Mississippi, with one lucky soul scooping up the six-figure jackpot reward

One player in Mississippi has everything to be happy about. The anonymous winner of a $460,000 jackpot pulled off the feat while playing the Match 5 game, resulting in the life-altering amount.
While details about the person who won are underwhelming, there have been a few things shared by the lottery. For one, there is the location – Keith’s Superstore #108 in Long Beach, and the numbers that won – 6, 10, 27, 33, 35.
The recent win has reset the jackpot to $50,000, with more hopefuls going after the popular game in the wake of the recent win. Match 5 is a draw game and fairly affordable, too, at $2 for the price of a ticket.
This is the latest large-scale jackpot to have been won in the state, following a $2-million win by another anonymous player who scooped the prize from the August 26 drawing this year. The person had bought their Mega Millions ticket at the Pilot Travel Center in Moss Point.
Lottery games are fast becoming a success, especially drawing games. Draw games were not legal in the state until 2020, but a shift in state policy has fueled their expansion, with hundreds of six-figure winners minted by now.
The lottery is considered the least harmful form of gambling, but even then, Mississippi regulators have cautioned against overspending and normalizing the lottery for kids by buying lottery tickets as presents.
