Reasons Why Milwaukee Bucks are Favored
The Milwaukee Bucks are the only team returning to Las Vegas this year. A year ago, they fell short in the semifinals of the NBA Cup tournament. This time, they’re determined to go all the way, with Giannis Antetokounmpo calling it “unfinished business.”
Giannis Antetokounmpo now has 75 games in the last decade with 35+ PTS on 60%+ FG.

Speaking of Milwaukee’s best player, “Greek Freak” put up 37 points in that game, helping the Bucks beat the Orlando Magic by five points. A win is a win, sure, but it wasn’t as easy as expected.
In fact, they struggled a lot against the depleted Magic squad missing two key players, Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner. On Saturday, the Bucks will face the Atlanta Hawks who, too, will be missing a few players. However, their key stars will be there.
Can Atlanta Hawks Upset the NBA Cup Odds Again?
Ahead of Wednesday night’s game with the New York Knicks in Madison Square Garden, the Atlanta Hawks were 8-point underdogs. At first, it seemed as if bookmakers were correct – at one point, the Hawks were losing by double-digits.
Somewhat surprisingly, they managed to erase the deficit to knock the New York Knicks out of the 2024 NBA Cup. The final score was 108:100, with De’Andre Hunter leading the Hawks in scoring, with 24.
Still, this was a Trae Young show. The 26-year-old point guard scored 22 points and made 11 assists, four of which were late in the game when his team needed them the most. He did great defensively as well, recording five defensive rebounds, three turnovers, and one steal.
Milwaukee Bucks vs. Atlanta Hawks Prediction
Who’s getting to the 2024 NBA Cup Final, the Milwaukee Bucks or the Atlanta Hawks? We think it’s gonna be the Hawks, despite what the odds are suggesting. The thing is that they looked much better in the previous round than the Bucks.
Further, the last time they played against the Bucks, they beat them 119:104 in Milwaukee. Now, the game is played in Vegas, so there’s no home-turf advantage for Giannis & Co.
Knowing all this, we think the Hawks stand a very good chance of winning on December 14. Still, we do think that the best bet is that they’re gonna cover the 3-point spread.
Pick: Atlanta Hawks +3
