MGM Teams Up with Playtech for a New Live Dealer Studio in Vegas
The MGM Live studio at MGM Grand will offer well-known live dealer games but will also have a Family Feud-branded game area

MGM Resorts has added a new live dealer studio to its famous MGM Grand hotel-casino property in Las Vegas. Developed in partnership with Playtech, the new studio will offer online live dealer content to players in certain international markets where such products are allowed.
The New Studio Should Open Very Soon
As mentioned, the new live dealer studio is the result of a partnership between the casino giant MGM Resorts International and Playtech, a global leader in gaming software.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that the live dealers running the games would be visible to guests of MGM Grand who would be able to see them from the adjacent Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill.
The MGM Live studio at MGM Grand will offer well-known live dealer games but will also have a Family Feud-branded game area, which would offer TV show-style products. However, MGM has yet to clarify whether the Family Feud area would be used for online or in-person experiences.
The live dealer studio is still awaiting certain regulatory approvals but MGM officials are optimistic and believe that it could host its first games by the end of H1.
Unfortunately, customers in Nevada will not get to experience the games offered by the new studio since online gaming is not allowed in the state.
MGM Will Share More Information as Soon as Possible
In a statement provided to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, an MGM Resorts spokesperson said:
Pending regulatory approval, we are currently working to introduce the next phase of our live dealer product with plans to livestream new gaming experiences from our studio space located on MGM Grand’s casino floor in Las Vegas.

The statement added that more updates will follow when more information becomes available.
The development of the MGM Live studio at MGM Grand follows an earlier partnership between MGM Resorts and Playtech that saw them launch a dual-cast service that allowed gamblers to place bets both in-person and online on live roulette and baccarat tables on the main gaming floors of MGM Grand and Bellagio. Like content that will be offered by the live dealer studio, these online bets were only available to players in international markets.
MGM Continues to Enhance Its Product
Earlier this month, MGM announced a tie-up with the First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO), allowing it to offer customers a new credit card that would allow holders to earn up more points and tier credits under the operator’s loyalty program.
Elsewhere, MGM Osaka, Japan’s first integrated resort, just hosted its groundbreaking ceremony after several years of delays.
