MGM Resorts Executive to Retire After Three-Decade Career

A longtime executive at MGM Resorts International is set to retire next month after more than three decades with the company. Ann Hoff, who serves as president and chief operating officer of Bellagio and Park MGM, will step down from her role on April 25, according to internal communications from the company.
MGM Resorts Honors Ann Hoff’s Impactful Career
Hoff has been with MGM since 1990, starting her journey in the company’s management associate program. Over the years, she has taken on key leadership roles at several of MGM’s properties, including The Mirage, Treasure Island, New York-New York, Excalibur, and Beau Rivage in Mississippi. Her contributions have been instrumental in shaping the success of MGM’s Las Vegas Strip operations.
Corey Sanders, the chief operating officer of MGM Resorts International, highlighted Hoff’s impact in a company memo, stating that her leadership and dedication have been an inspiration to many within the organization, reported The Las Vegas Review-Journal. He emphasized that her career exemplifies the opportunities available at MGM Resorts and praised her for the significant influence she has had on the company.
MGM Executive Ann Hoff Reflects on Retirement and Future Endeavors
In a separate message to employees at Bellagio and Park MGM, Hoff described her decision to retire as a difficult one, noting that her time with MGM Resorts had been deeply meaningful. She expressed gratitude for the relationships she built throughout her career, referring to the company as her “second home.”
Reflecting on her career, Hoff said she remains grateful for the experiences she has had in the hospitality industry. While acknowledging the challenges of stepping away, she looks forward to new opportunities, including continuing her work as a board member in different companies.
MGM Resorts has not yet announced who will succeed Hoff in her role. A company representative confirmed that she will continue her responsibilities until her retirement date.
Hoff’s departure marks the end of a significant chapter in MGM Resorts’ leadership, as she leaves behind a legacy of dedication and influence in the gaming and hospitality industry.
In other news, MGM Resorts International plans to take charge of its BetMGM sportsbooks on the Las Vegas Strip. This comes after a recent meeting with the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB). The company will run nine retail sportsbooks from a central hub at Mandalay Bay using Entain’s technology. The NGCB gave the green light to the proposal without any opposition.
