MGM Hires Tilak Mandadi as Chief of Strategy, Innovation and Technology

Tilak Mandadi, an industry veteran who worked for Disney and American Express is joining MGM Resorts. In his new position, as of July 6, he will serve as chief of strategy, innovation, and technology.
Tilak Mandadi to Join MGM in July
MGM Resorts International announced on Tuesday that it hired the services of Tilak Mandadi. Mandadi will join the operator starting from July 6 and will serve as chief of strategy, innovation, and technology. Within the newly created position, he is going to oversee the company’s digital strategy and aim to boost growth with the help of innovation and technology-led customer experiences.
Furthermore, Mandadi will be responsible for leading MGM’s corporate strategy and innovation. Joining the company’s Board of Directors, he will also manage MGM’s corporate relationships. In his new position, Mandadi will report directly to MGM’s CEO and president, Bill Hornbuckle, and will be based in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Mandadi Is Excited to Join MGM
Before joining MGM, Mandadi served as global chief technology officer for Disney since 2013. During that time he was in charge of a diverse global team primarily focused on creating growth strategies for theme parks, hotels, food and beverage, and other hospitality businesses. Furthermore, his team supported Disney’s global licensing, publishing, and games businesses.
Before joining Disney, Mandadi served as a senior vice president of digital at American Express. His decades of experience within the digital industry and leadership roles make Mandadi a perfect fit for MGM Resorts.

Mandadi said that he is excited to join MGM at such a transformative moment for the industry. Furthermore, he stressed that he is looking forward to collaborating with his colleagues about creating immersive customer experiences, and build new and profitable revenue streams. Additionally, Mandadi said that he is delighted to join MGM’s management team.

Hornbuckle acknowledged that Mandadi brings significant experience having worked at Disney and American Express. Furthermore, he stressed that Mandadi is a results-driven leader with and a proven visionary.

He stressed that industry veterans such as CFO Jonathan Halkyard, and CCO Steve Zanella are among the many professionals who are led by MGM’s CEO and leader Hornbuckle. In conclusion, Salem said that adding Mandadi to the management team will undoubtedly accelerate the company’s growth strategies.
