For one lucky soul who was visiting the MGM Grand Detroit on Saturday, July 19, the trip will be one to remember for the rest of their life.

The lucky visitor hit the $1,075,996 jackpot while playing the Dragon Link slot game by Aristocrat Gaming, a vastly popular title that has produced many similar success stories.

With Dragon Link’s jackpot starting at $1 million for high-limit progressive games, the game has been a popular choice for local players. The previous similar win at the MGM Grand Detroit was scored in November 2024 and amounted to $1,271,645.

The latest win, though, pushes the total amount given out in jackpots in 2025 alone to $215,616,004 at the MGM Grand Detroit alone, a formidable achievement. In July alone, the casino paid out more than $28,706,431, the company confirmed in a press statement.
