Mega Millions Jackpot Survives, Reaches $385M
There were a few winners of the game’s third-tier prize, which requires players to match four white numbers and the Mega Ball
The Mega Millions jackpot has survived yet another day after no one won the game’s top prize from the Tuesday drawing. As a result, the jackpot has continued to swell and is now nearing the $400 million mark.
The Mega Millions Jackpot Remained Unclaimed
The Mega Millions drawing on Tuesday, February 10, was rather uneventful as no one won the game’s top prize. In addition to that, there was no winner of a seven-figure second-tier prize, although a few players claimed five-figure sums after matching most of the winning numbers.
Speaking of numbers, here is the winning combination for the February 10 drawing: 5, 25, 30, 36, 68. The Mega Ball was 6.
Matching all numbers correctly would have won a hypothetical player some $366 million if they went with the annuity, or $165.6 million if they picked the one-time, lump sum option. Since that didn’t happen, the jackpot has survived and has now increased to $385 million with a cash value of $174.2 million.
In the meantime, no one succeeded in matching all five white numbers, except the Mega Ball, which is the requirement to win the game’s second-tier prize of $2 million or more, depending on the player’s multiplier.
However, there were a few winners of the game’s third-tier prize, which requires players to match four white numbers and the Mega Ball. Due to various multiplier levels, three of them won $20,000 each, another three won $30,000 each, two scooped up $40,000 each, and a single player took home $50,000.
The next Mega Millions drawing is set to take place Friday, February 13, at 11 pm ET.
Several Players Won Seven-Figure Sums Recently
In the meantime, the previous Mega Millions drawing crowned a winner of a $3 million prize. Around the same time, a Powerball enthusiast won a $1 million prize from that game.
Earlier still, a player in Florida won another $3 million from one of the game’s previous drawings.
In other lottery news, the New York Lottery just announced that a player from the Jamaica neighborhood has won a million-dollar prize from its Million Dollar Raffle that took place on October 26.
