Martin Bland Joined EPIC as Business Development Director

Independent gambling harm prevention consultancy EPIC Risk Management announced today a new addition to its ranks as Martin Bland joined the firm in the role of Director of Business Development.
Deliver on EPIC’s Growth Strategy
EPIC’s new director of business development Bland will be tasked with expanding the business that aims to protect individuals and organizations from gambling harm. He will work closely with EPIC’s portfolio of clients to ensure the consultancy provides excellent customer service levels.
“Such a senior appointment reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering service excellence to our existing clients and in continuing the significant growth we have seen at EPIC Risk Management. We are extremely pleased to welcome Martin to the EPIC team.”
Les Murray, Managing Director, EPIC Risk Management
As part of the organization’s growth strategy, Bland will be expected to leverage his vast experience and proactively develop EPIC’s client base. Before joining the gambling risk management consultancy, Bland spent 18 years working in the sports data and technology markets across the commercial and partnership sectors.
Thrilled to join the company that is “trying to pioneer” the minimization of gambling harm, Bland commented:
“What’s been clear to me throughout the recruitment process and my short time here, is that EPIC is hugely passionate about its purpose. Ultimately, this organisation is about helping people and the more organisations we can work with provides the opportunity to help more people the better.”

Bland, who is bringing to EPIC extensive expertise in sales, regional and international business network experience and a mindset of a true collaborator, is viewed as the personnel needed to support EPIC’s growth and long-term strategy in the UK, US and other parts of the world. In September last year, EPIC entered US markets by establishing a subsidiary in Delaware.
As EPIC’s director of business development, Bland will be expected to maintain the company’s exceptional track record of customer service excellence while further developing existing relationships with key industry stakeholders and he is well aware of his new responsibilities.
“My role here is about growth. Yes, organically the business will commercially grow but ultimately, the more companies we work with, the more people we interact with, the more people we help. So, that’s a massive goal of mine here at EPIC and I’m excited to get started,” he added.
Bland is the latest appointment at the organization that is recruiting talent on both sides of the Atlantic. His appointment followed in the footsteps of Les Murray who was appointed Managing Director in November to help maximize public awareness of the company’s education programs and thought leadership.
