LV Sex Worker Risks Prison Time for Stealing Client’s Valuables
According to KLAS, the woman is set to appear in court on August 8 on charges of grand larceny and possession of stolen property, as well as two counts of burglary

A Las Vegas prostitute is set to appear on trial for stealing expensive items from a client. Maiah Meleschi, according to the allegations, stole an expensive watch and a necklace from a customer she slept with at the Bellagio Las Vegas Hotel.
The Woman Is Set to Appear in Court Next Month
The original incident happened on July 26, 2022, when Meleschi approached a client who was playing blackjack at the hotel’s casino. The two spoke and, at around 5 am, went to the man’s room where they had sex.
The man paid Meleschi $1,000 for her services but, after he fell asleep, she allegedly stole some of his possessions. When the victim woke up, he found out that the woman was missing, alongside $3,000 in cash, his Rolex watch and a chain necklace. The watch, for context, was worth $85,000. The necklace, on the other hand, cost $35,000.
The man immediately notified the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department of the incident. The police identified the woman thanks to surveillance footage of the two’s meeting and subsequent walk to the man’s room. Additional footage showed Meleschi departing from the Bellagio Las Vegas Hotel wearing the man’s chain and luxury watch.
Melechi was only arrested on July 3 this year. According to Las Vegas media outlet KLAS, the woman is set to appear in court on August 8 on charges of grand larceny and possession of stolen property, as well as two counts of burglary.
If convicted, Meleschi risks a prison sentence.
LVMPD Described the Incident as a “Trick Roll”
Meleschi, the authorities learned, later sold the necklace at a local pawn shop for $11,600. The police, however, couldn’t confirm the fate of the man’s Rolex watch or missing cash.
According to KLAS’s report, this was not Meleschi’s first wrongdoing. The news outlet said that the woman had been previously arrested for prostitution and trespassing.
The LVMPD described the theft as an instance of “trick roll” – a common crime where a sex worker would steal a client’s valuables and/or money once they fall asleep.
In other news, a sex worker was brutally murdered at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas in June. According to the authorities, the woman had demanded a higher price than she had initially negotiated, causing the client to snap. Later reports claimed that he choked the sex worker before having sex with her and throwing her out. A week later she was declared brain dead by doctors.
In the meantime, a trafficking victim is suing Vegas casinos, alleging that they ignored her plight on purpose instead of helping her.
