Louisiana’s $100K Jackpot Is Still Unclaimed, Deadline Approaches
Misplaced lottery tickets are one of the biggest reasons why players cannot claim their rewards – and this may be the case in Louisiana as well

In Louisiana, a winning Lottery Easy 5 jackpot ticket is still unclaimed, lottery officials have said, with a $100,000 prize unclaimed by the anonymous winner(s). The lottery used the opportunity to issue a reminder to the public and try to see if someone had not forgotten about what a winning ticket could be!
100K on the Line in Louisiana, as Winner Still Hasn’t Stepped Forward
The ticket was bought at Adams Grocery on Highway 23 in Buras and won the February 26 drawing and is now set to expire at 5 pm local time on August 25. This means that there are about 20 days to claim the reward, or it will be forfeited automatically.
“We look forward to the winner coming to claim this prize. In the meantime, the individual should treat the ticket as cash. It is also a good idea to sign the back of the ticket for security purposes,” Louisiana Lottery president Rose Hudson said in a statement shared with the public.
If the money is forfeited, then the money will go to boost existing scratch-off prizes and create special player promotions. The people who may have won the prize would have to be at least 21 years of age and do so at any of the five regional offices of the lottery in the state.
The unclaimed $100,000 prize is among the largest on record. Another prize is going to expire on January 19, 2026, and it’s worth $150,000. A yet larger prize, worth $199,088, is also available until January 29, 2026. In total, as of the time of writing this, there are five unclaimed prizes in Louisiana.
