Louisiana Player Turns $3 into $1M Casino Jackpot in Mississippi

The Beau Rivage Resort and Casino in Mississippi was the site of an exciting win, with a visiting player from Louisiana managing to scoop up a grand prize playing one of the most popular progressive jackpot slots locally.

The Baton Rouge player turned $3 into the eye-watering $1,132,124, one of the biggest and most significant wins to have been recorded on the title. The player had been playing for about 15 minutes when they managed to flip their $3 stake into the massive prize purse.

This has also been the first statewide progressive jackpot to have been won this year, the casino reported. Beau Rivage’s senior manager of slot operations, Steven Mink, welcomed the new winner to the family and spoke highly of the importance of jackpot games to the business model and overall value.

The recent jackpot is also another special occasion for the Beau Rivage property, as the previous person to have won as much from the property’s Wheel of Fortune slot machine was a few years ago in 2022, when another lucky soul scooped up a $1.1-million payday. 

In 2025 alone, the Beau Rivage paid out 192,999 jackpots for a total of $516,348, but the Wheel of Fortune jackpot is now set to change the total paid by the casino this year.
