Lottery.com, a leading tech giant at the intersection of gaming, sports and entertainment, announced the appointment of a media veteran as president of its Sports.com Studios division. The one up to the task is Tamer Hassan, who boasts decades in the film and TV sectors.
Hassan Has a Unique Blend of Experience
According to Lottery.com’s announcement, Hassan, who is a recognized actor, producer, and entrepreneur, will head Sports.com Studios, the company’s newly formed content division focused on film, docuseries, and original programming, as president.
Hassan is no stranger to the business and has served as a director for Lottery.com since June 2023. With some 25 years of experience in international film and television, Hassan is best known for his roles in Layer Cake, The Business, The Football Factory, Eastern Promises and Game of Thrones.
In his new role, Hassan will be tasked with spearheading the Sports.com division’s creative and strategic efforts to develop, produce and distribute bespoke sports-themed films, documentaries and premium content. As president of Sports.com Studios, he will have the important mission of cementing the new division as “the cornerstone of Sports.com’s global expansion into entertainment media and immersive storytelling.”
As of the time of this writing, Sports.com Studios is already working on a number of documentaries, including a series focusing on an unnamed British soccer club. The division is also in pre-production of behind-the-scenes segments featuring various athletes, as well as “original narratives” exploring the global sports sector.
Sports.com Studios Is Just Getting Started
Matthew McGahan, Lottery.com’s chairman and chief executive officer, commented on Hassan’s appointment as president of Sports.com Studios. McGahan described the appointee as a true “force of nature” and praised his experience, storytelling instincts and deep connection to the sports industry. According to the CEO, these qualities made Hassan perfect for the task of leading the new content production division.
We’re proud to have him [Hassan] at the helm as we build a slate of powerful content that inspires audiences and builds our global brand.
