They’re in fabulous form, winning their last four games and scoring a total of 16 goals along the way. The last time they lost a game was in the final round of the regular season when it was already clear that they were going to play in the postseason.

And the loss in question happened on the road. The last time they lost at Dignity Health Sports Park was back in early July when their city rivals LAFC beat them 2:1. Since then, they’re 10-0 on their turf.

Can the New York Red Bulls Upset the Odds on December 7?

If you ask bookmakers, the answer is no. The Red Bulls are seen as +325 underdogs in the 2024 MLS Cup Final. Despite getting to the final, their recent form isn’t great – they had to work hard to get so far. 

In the Eastern Conference Final, they beat Orlando City 1:0 in Florida, even though they were on the back foot throughout the game. The game in question also saw one of their key men, Sean Nealis, suffer a concussion. As a result, the defender could miss the big game on December 7.

His defensive teammate, Kyle Duncan, will also miss the MLC Cup Final, along with attacker Cory Burke.
