Little Creek Casino Robber Could Be Behind Other Recent Crimes
The Mason County Sheriff’s Office asked people who might have any information about the suspect to contact 911
The Little Creek Casino Resort in Washington was almost robbed by an armed man. While the robbery ultimately failed, some believe that the suspect is the same person who robbed the Silver Reef Casino a few days ago and stole a hydraulic rescue tool from firefighters in Centralia.
The Man Fled After Learning the Till Was Empty
On Saturday, an unknown man entered the Little Creek Casino Resort, a tribal property in Shelton. The man went to the casino cage and took out a handgun, demanding money.
The employee, however, informed the robber that the till was empty, which prompted him to leave immediately. While the robber is believed to have escaped on foot, police officers were unable to locate him.
According to the Mason County Sheriff’s Office, the robber was last seen “running toward Highway 101, then onto the overpass and out of sight.” Accounts and surveillance footage reveal him to be a possibly Hispanic male aged 20-30. The office added that the robber was approximately 5’7” tall (170cm) with a small build.
At the time of the attempted robbery and subsequent flight, the man was wearing a gray or dark flannel button-up shirt, pants, dark boots, a light gray hat with a white Nike logo, and sunglasses. The man also had a plastic glove and was armed with a pistol.

The Same Man Could Be Behind Other Recent Robberies and Thefts
Two separate commenters under the Mason County Sheriff’s Office’s original post were quick to point out that the man in the photos looked similar to the culprit behind the recent robbery of another casino in the state.
About a week prior to the Saturday events, a similar-looking man attempted to rob the Silver Reef Casino in Ferndale. Accounts from that robbery highlight a similar approach where the culprit went straight to the casino cage, brandished a handgun and demanded money.
One commenter suggested that the person behind the attempted Little Creek Casino Resort robber might be the same man, just recently shaven.
Even more people associated the Little Creek Casino Resort robber with the person behind the recent theft of the jaws of life/spreaders from the Riverside Fire Authority in Centralia. Several commenters pointed out that the man behind that theft was wearing the same hat and likewise had a gloved hand.
