Thanks to the new partnership, Light & Wonder's OpenGaming partners will gain access to the studio's unique games that offer engaging mechanics

The leading American corporation offering gambling products and services formerly known as Scientific Games Corporation, Light & Wonder, announced a new content deal on Tuesday. The company unveiled its plans to expand its OpenGaming platform offering by adding unique games from Rogue, an independent games studio.
Light & Wonder confirmed that it anticipates the titles to go live at some point during the second half of 2023. The delivery of Rogue’s titles to the OpenGaming platform is going to be facilitated via technology provided by Playzido. This will help enhance further Light & Wonder’s platform which is famous for its quick deployment of localized content.
Moreover, the new collaboration complements the growth of the OpenGaming platform and helps it reaffirm its leadership position within the online gambling vertical. Per the terms of the new deal, Light & Wonder’s partners will benefit from accessing new games from Rogue that feature the company’s signature mechanics including TSUNAMI REELS and FUSION REELS.
Besides expanding the offering of the OpenGaming platform, the new deal helps the independent studio expand its global footprint. Via the collaboration with Light & Wonder, Rogue’s unique games will reach new audiences around the world. This, in turn, is expected to help the studio continue to grow.
The Deal Expands the Reach of Rogue’s Content
John Parsonage, Rogue’s CCO, shared his excitement about the new partnership saying that it helps the company deliver its games to new customers around the world. Additionally, he explained that thanks to the deal, new players will access the company’s engaging mechanics that deliver unique experiences.
Parsonage acknowledged that Light & Wonder’s OpenGaming platform will enable Rogue to enter new markets. Finally, he said: “We look forward to players all over the world interacting with our content. CHANGE THE GAME and go ROGUE.”
“We greatly admire Rogue’s dedication to providing some of the most unique and exciting games coming into the market and the rapid progress that the studio has made in such a short space of time.“
Steve Mayes, digital partnerships director at Light & Wonder
Steve Mayes, Light & Wonder’s digital partnerships director, acknowledged that Rogue has been growing rapidly, delivering engaging and unique titles. According to him, the deal with the studio will help solidify the presence of the OpenGaming platform. Finally, Mayes said that the deal reaffirms the scalability of the platform and its ability to deliver dynamic content from innovative game developers.
