Kick Reverses Adin Ross Ban After $50M Rainbet Deal Rumored

Kick’s record of impartiality was marred, some Internet denizens remarked, after Adin Ross signed a $50-million streaming deal with Rainbet

Adin Ross woke up on Monday to discover that he had been banned from Kick, a platform that emerged in the wake of Twitch’s own anti-gambling stance, and which promised that streamers would be free to stream whatever content they wanted, while consumers would be the ultimate judges of whether they want to see what is on offer.

Adin Ross’s reason for the ban is not formally confirmed by any party, but it comes only shortly after he announced that he would be partnering up with Rainbet, a rival to Stake, in a $50-million streaming deal.

Adin Ross’ Ban Quickly Lifted, No Explanation Given

The ban was interpreted by many observers as a retaliation on the part of Kick, which is backed by the co-founders of Stake, but those speculations were put to rest once Adin Ross’ account was restored later in the day.

Adin Ross supposedly received $100 million upfront from Rainbet, and he has signed an exclusive $50 million per annum deal with the platform, as accidentally revealed by Internet personality and streamer Cuffem.

Cuffem was the person to leak the news about the partnership first. According to Adin Ross, he had felt the switch was necessary for no other reason than to enjoy more time with his friends and give them the chance to “earn real money.”

Rainbet Emerges as Contender for Streamers to Stake

Neither Adin Ross nor Kick have not commented on the matter at the time of writing; however, Trainwreck, a popular Kick streamer and Stake partner himself, responded to a question about what he thought about Adin Ross’ switch.

Trainwrecks also laughed off questions about the likelihood of making the switch to Rainbet himself amid a rumored $200 million deal. The streamer simply said that Rainbet isn’t big enough to pay out huge wins like the ones he has been known to generate.

Some of the more obscure comments across social media questioned whether Rainbet and Stake are owned by the same entity or people. If so, the Adin Ross “drama” would be a brilliant stroke of marketing.
