A Kentucky hunter has won a seven-figure jackpot while spending time in his deer stand. The man was excited about the win and said that he almost fell out of the stand.

The unnamed Kentucky man was visiting his deer stand when he decided to pass some time by playing a few rounds of the online games the KY Lottery has to offer. While waiting for deer to show up, the man started to enjoy the Wolf Ridge Jackpots title.

After playing for a bit, the man won $1,500 and proceeded to deposit another $200 into his account. However, the gaming session was not all too enjoyable at first since the player kept getting calls from family members. In an interview with lottery officials, he admitted that he ended up rejecting a call from his son since it kept interrupting his game and making him angry.

It was at this exact moment that something special happened. Instead of stopping once he rejected his son’s call, his phone continued to ring, echoing through the woods. This time, however, it wasn’t because of a call but because the lucky player had won $1.1 million from the lottery.

Officials clarified that the man won his prize from a $30 wager.

The Man Called His Wife to Enthuse About the Win

The winner, who had been just rejecting family calls, immediately took a U-turn and called his wife to inform her of the win. He also sent a photo to make sure she didn’t think he was joking.

The lucky player’s wife admitted that she thought he was calling her to tell her he had gotten a big buck. As it turned out, he had gotten the big bucks instead.

The man added that he was both excited and stressed about the win and that he almost fell out of the deer stand.

The winner concluded that winning has made him feel amazing and that it had only taken him 50 years to become a millionaire.
