Hard Rock Executive Under Fire Due to Alleged Misdeeds
Reports postulated that Hard Rock’s investigation was prompted by recent emails sent by R. J. Cipriani
Hard Rock International has suspended its corporate senior vice president of casino and hotel operations, Alex Pariente, due to serious allegations claiming he violated the company’s policies. As the investigation continues, the executive has been temporarily suspended.
Pariente Undermined Hard Rock’s Integrity
Pariente was recently accused of having committed a variety of violations at Hard Rock’s property in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Multiple sources told Casino.org that the company’s SVP of casino and hotel operations had potentially facilitated financial fraud by allowing a Chinese gambler to deposit huge sums without asking for proof of funds.
Pariente was also accused of mishandling credit issued to gamblers, not paying credit markers, and making questionable hires with ties to junkets.
Hard Rock Takes Action
Hard Rock, which became aware of the allegations, was quick to take action. The company confirmed that it has temporarily suspended Pariente and initiated an investigation into his alleged violations.
The company emphasized that it has the utmost commitment to upholding its integrity and ensuring that its business is being conducted honestly and transparently. To that end, Hard Rock said that it will continue to hold all team members to the highest ethical standards, which means that the company has zero tolerance for violations of its policies.
The company clarified that Pariente has been suspended without pay. The company didn’t provide any specifics as to how long the investigation would take and whether Pariente risks permanent termination.
In its release, Casino.com postulated that Hard Rock’s investigation was prompted by recent emails sent by R. J. Cipriani, also known as Robin Hood 702, to Hard Rock’s leadership. Cipriani was also among the news outlet’s contacts who had tipped it off about Pariente’s alleged misdeeds. He firmly said that he believes that it is high time for the gaming sector to oust corrupt executives. He cited Scott Sibella as another recent example of an executive who had violated his company’s protocols for his own gain.
Hard Rock Criticized for Alleged Cost Cuts
In other news, recent leaks about the Hard Rock Las Vegas Guitar Hotel suggested that the property will boast 675 rooms instead of the initially announced 596. While some took this as good news, others suggested that it means that it will result in cost cuts and smaller rooms on average.
Hard Rock eventually responded to the criticisms, denying that any cost-cutting would take place.
