GeoComply to Help Quebec Online Gaming Coalition Protect Industry Integrity
GeoComply has repeatedly been the go to choice when looking to strengthen online gambling from fraud, crime, and other illicit and bad actor influences
Now, the Quebec Online Gaming Coalition has turned to the company to help it fight crime in the sector and also ensure that fraudulent attempts and access are prevented. GeoComply has had a solid track record in dealing with this sort of threat and has repeatedly delivered sterling results in crunch time.
Helping Guide Meaningful Debate on Regulatory Changes
The company is already working with established local operators, which further solidifies the fraud-prevent specialist’s standing in the market and consolidates its reputation as a trusted and reliable partner.
Quebec Online Gaming Coalition spokesperson Nathalie Bergeron has welcomed the opportunity to see the organization work with GeoComply and said that the company’s data will allow to not just safeguard consumers, but also influence and inform on what a fitting regulatory and licensing frameworks ought to look in the province.
GeoComply SVP Compliance Lindsay Slader said that her company was equally excited to be joining the coalition and its ongoing efforts to modernize the gambling industry and make it safer, smarter, and more thoroughly focused on integrity and consumer protection, without overlooking a healthy business revenue.
“Ontario’s success has proven that in an open yet regulated market, everyone wins,” Slader confirmed. The Quebec Online Gaming Coalition is a pivotal organization that reunites the biggest names in the industry, although a few are still missing. The present operators part of the coalition are Betway, DraftKings, Flutter Entertainment, Rush Street Interactive, Games Global, and Bet99. Many of these companies already work with GeoComply in the first place.
These companies work with the government to help develop and discuss meaningful and needed changes to the existing regulations. GeoComply has already been helping local operators, ensuring that all partner companies remain compliant.
GeoComply Proves Important Ally to Local Operators
An update shared in November showed that GeoComply had successfully blocked 105,000 illegal attempts to place a wager on the NFL Kickoff 2023 from Quebec, a neighboring province that does not have regulated sports gambling just yet.
For the time being, Ontario is the only Canadian province that allows online wagering, which was a lengthy process to pass but now that it’s finally here, is proving to be an exciting opportunity for businesses and stakeholders.
