Gambler Wins $10M in Nevada on April Fool’s Day

One very lucky gambler in Nevada will remember this past April Fool’s Day not by being the butt of a joke, but by getting the last laugh. The person managed to win the eye-watering $10,486,432 payout off a Megabucks slot machine right on the world’s funniest day. 

Huge Jackpot Won, But No Winner Details Released 

The news was originally reported by Las Vegas Locally, a local media outlet that focuses on developments from Sin City. While a momentous achievement, the identity of the player remains unknown, nor are there other details available about their win. 

In the meantime, Megabucks is the world’s first wide-area progressive jackpot system and has been paying out six-figure jackpots for decades, since the late 1980s. Previously, someone won a Megabucks jackpot in Las Vegas on November 26, 2025, when one lucky player scooped a $11,000,000 payout. 

However, there have been other large jackpots dropping from the Megabucks slot machine all over the United States, with a $12.4 million payout secured at the Virgin River Casino, once again in Nevada. 

Last April, a couple won $4.2 million from the Megabucks slot machine at the Pechanga Resort Casino. The game continues to generate excitement and big-time winners, with Las Vegas fittingly one of the most popular places to find some of the biggest winners.
