FDJ Unveils Leadership Changes, Initiates Search for New CFO

Andén will step down as chief online betting and gaming officer, with CFO Chaffard to succeed the position, necessitating the search for a new CFO

FDJ United, a leading gaming group describing itself as a “European gaming and betting champion,” has unveiled changes to its leadership, including the exit of Nils Andén as chief online betting and gaming officer and the beginning of a search for a new chief financial officer.

Andén to Explore Other Opportunities

In its official announcement, FDJ United confirmed that Nils Andén, who played a key role in the integration of Kindred into the broader FDJ business, has decided to step down to explore other opportunities.

Andén is Kindred’s former chief executive officer, who assisted with FDJ’s $2.64 billion takeover of the former company. Following the addition of Kindred to the FDJ fold and FDJ’s subsequent rebrand to FDJ United, Andén became chief online betting and gaming officer of the latter company.

In an announcement published on February 19, FDJ United announced several other leadership changes, too.

Chaffard Takes Andén’s Role, FDJ Looks for New CFO

In its announcement, FDJ United unveiled additional changes to its executive committee, including the appointment of Pascal Chaffard as chief online betting and gaming officer, as well as group strategy and operational officer.

Chaffard is currently chief financial officer and strategy and performance leader, who will now fill in the vacuum left by Andén’s departure and serve as head of the Online Betting and Gaming business unit. As group strategy and operational transformation officer, Chaffard will also be responsible for FDJ’s strategic direction.

With the CFO spot now vacant, FDJ added that it has already initiated the search for a successor to the position. The company elaborated that it will make an announcement at the end of the recruitment process.

Celie Verot Becomes General Secretary

Last but not least, FDJ United announced that Celia Verot has joined its team as general secretary. She originally became a part of the FDJ family in 2024, initially serving as chief regulatory officer.

Despite her appointment as general secretary, Verot will retain her position as chief regulatory officer for FDJ.
