Reasons Why Erin Blanchfield’s UFC Vegas 107 Odds are -170
UFC Vegas 107 odds make Erin Blanchfield the betting favorite in the May 31 headliner. She’s 13-2 overall with wins over some elite opponents, including Miranda Maverick, JJ Aldrich, Molly McCann, Jessica Andrade, and Rose Namajunas.
When it comes to her losses, both of them happened by decision. The first of those happened against Tracy Cortez when the two were fighting under the banner of Invicta FC. This was back in 2018, after which she went 9-0 before losing to Manon Fiorot.
In her most recent fight, she defeated “Thug Rose” by unanimous decision, but it wasn’t as easy a fight as the result might suggest. On the contrary, the two had a 5-round war that Blanchfield won thanks to doing much better in the final three rounds, which is a testament to her fantastic cardio.
Fast-forward to May 31 and she’s fighting another 5-round bout, this time against a fighter who’s never stayed inside the Octagon for longer than 15 minutes.
The Fight That Can Make (or Break) Maycee Barber
Maycee Barber is 14-2, with some of her notable wins including those against Gillian Robertson, Miranda Maverick, Amanda Ribas, and others. Both of her losses happened by decision.
The first of those was in 2020 when we saw Roxanne Modafferi win over the judges with her performance at UFC 246. In her next fight, Barber lost to Alexa Grasso the same way. But then, she went on a spree, winning the following six fights.
The best thing is that Barber’s performances seem to be improving all the time. Her arguably best performance was in 2023 against Ribas (TKO win), for which she won the Performance of the Night bonus. Then, in 2024, she beat Katlyn Cerminara by unanimous decision after completely rag-doling her opponent.
Barber was then supposed to fight Rose Namajunas in Denver but had to withdraw due to health problems. Almost a year later, she’s coming back to the Octagon, ready to take her career to the next level. If she wins this fight, we could see people start talking about a potential title bout.
Erin Blanchfield vs. Maycee Barber Prediction
Blanchfield vs. Barber odds favor “Cold Blooded” but we think UFC Vegas 107 might see a sort of surprise. We think that Barber has what it takes to win this fight. Of course, we’re not 100% sure this scenario will play out. What we are certain of is that this is going to be a bloodbath that will probably last for five rounds.
