DraftKings and Nashville Predators Sign Multi-Year Partnership
Boston-based gaming operator DraftKings continues to expand its partnerships across sports leagues, with their latest partner being the Nashville Predators from the National Hockey League (NHL). The operator and the NHL franchise from Tennessee announced today they signed a new multi-year deal to make DraftKings the Official Daily Fantasy Sports Provider and an Official Sports Betting Operator of the team.
Predators’ Search for Partner Is Over
The partnership deal with the Nashville Predators comes on the heels of the recent launch of DraftKings’ mobile sportsbook app in the state, having received a license from the Tennessee Education Lottery’s Sports Wagering Committee in September.
The Predators were on the lookout for an experienced sportsbook partner since the Tennessee Sports Gaming Act was passed in April, Nashville Predator’s EVP & chief revenue officer Chris Junghans outlined.
“With legal sports betting now live in Tennessee, we are thrilled to announce our formal relationship with industry-leading DraftKings. Through this multi-year agreement, Predators fans across the state will have access to the GOLD STANDARD of sports betting information technology, which provides a competitive, reliable and responsible platform.”
Chris Junghans, EVP & Chief Revenue Officer, Nashville Predators
Excited to have teamed up with one of the leaders in the market, the Predators are looking forward to entering this new era for the state together with DraftKings, Chris Junghans concluded.
Fan Engagement
Striving to create best possible viewing experience and new ways to engage with fans, the DraftKings partnership will allow the Predators to bring sports fans closer to the game of hockey.
The deal will allow for DraftKings’ branding and content to be integrated throughout Bridgestone Arena, including static boards and virtual signage for all regionally TV broadcasted games of the Predators. The Lexus Lounge LED screen will also feature DraftKings’ signage for all regular and post season games, while sports betting lines from the operator will be showcased during pre- and in-game radio spots.
“After recently launching the top-rated DraftKings Sportsbook app in Tennessee, we are thrilled to continue our momentum in the state by announcing our latest team deal with the Nashville Predators. As a result of this collaboration, Predators fans will get the full DraftKings experience both on and off the ice as we look forward to the return of hockey season.”
Ezra Kucharz, Chief Business Officer, DraftKings
The partnership between DraftKings and the Nashville Predators will extend to the digital space, with DraftKings takeovers of the Predators homepage, app integration and giveaways on social media. The operator will also feature regularly in Predators’ newsletter, “This Week in Smashville”.
