CrownBet Relaunches Fixed-odds Sprortsbook in Australia

CrownBet is back in Australia following several rebrands as the company will now offer fixed-odds options to local sports punters

One of the most influential names in Australian bookmaking has officially relaunched its local brand, with Crown Resorts subsidiary Betfair Pty Limited introducing CrownBet back into the market.

CrownBet has returned to Australia as a fixed-odds sportsbook, marking a strategic expansion of Betfair’s offering and positioning the company to compete more directly with other local operators.

CrownBet Is Live Once Again in Australia

While CrownBet’s re-entry was first announced in December, the company has now confirmed that the launch has been completed in time for the start of the NRL and AFL seasons.

Betfair has described the return of CrownBet as a strategic diversification designed to complement its existing betting exchange by introducing a new fixed-odds product. The move is aimed at meeting the evolving preferences of Australian wagering customers by offering greater choice, value, and innovation.

The CrownBet platform has been provided by BetMakers Technology Group, delivering a comprehensive suite of racing and sports markets alongside a broad range of responsible gambling tools.

Betfair Pty Limited CEO Amy Zavros welcomed the relaunch of the brand and its return to local players.

“With sophisticated tech, deep market coverage and the backing of one of the country’s most trusted entertainment brands, we’re setting a new benchmark for what a wagering experience should feel like,” Zavros said.

Crown Resorts CEO David Tsai also highlighted the strategic importance of the move.

“CrownBet is a familiar brand in the online wagering market. This exciting move aligns with Crown’s broader growth strategy – focusing on entertainment offerings and new revenue streams,” he said.

CrownBet’s new fixed-odds sportsbook offers markets across major domestic competitions, including the Australian Football League and National Rugby League seasons, as well as racing and a range of global sporting events.

CrownBet previously operated in Australia before undergoing brand changes in recent years, including a rebrand to BetEasy, prior to its return under the CrownBet name.
