Checkd Group Teams Up with ID Sports Media to Launch Boxing News App
Boxing News will feature free-to-play prediction games, interactive live scorecards and bet placement journeys with Bet365
Checkd Group’s sports betting tech division, Checkd Dev, has teamed up with boxing sports specialist iD Sports Media to launch its new Boxing News app. Available on both Android and iOS devices, the new app seeks to become a one-stop-shop for fans of professional boxing.
Boxing News is the culmination of a multi-year tie-up between Checkd Dev and iD Sports Media. The new app seeks to capitalize on the fast growth of the boxing sector, allowing the two companies to tap into the demand for boxing content.
The launch of the Boxing News app is set to coincide with major matches, such as Tyson Fury’s fight against Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua’s game against Francis Ngannou, among others.
Checkd Dev added that, in addition to boxing news, videos and blog posts, Boxing News will feature free-to-play prediction games, interactive live scorecards and bet placement journeys with Bet365. Furthermore, the app will feature exclusive content from the knowledgeable Boxing news team, which will provide fans with insights and event coverage.
The Boxing News app will capitalize on the long history of Boxing News. The boxing news outlet can trace its history back to 1909 and is one of the authorities when it comes to boxing content. The leading publication now seeks to align itself with the modern age and conquer the digital sector as well.
The New App Is Based around a Strong Brand Identity
Adam Patton, Checkd Dev’s managing director, believes that the Boxing News app will fill an important niche. He also noted that his team is excited to be able to partner with “someone with the credibility and long-standing tradition such as Boxing News.”
Patton added that the pairing of Checkd Dev’s tech experience and iD Sports Media’s sports expertise is going to be a “winning combination.”
This launch is the first step in what will undoubtedly be a long and successful partnership.

Rob Tebbutt, iD Sports Media’s managing director, said that his team sought a Boxing News app partner that could create a “compelling product with a slick and intuitive user journey.” He praised Checkd Dev for providing just that and noted that the app’s release will come just in time for the many upcoming boxing events.
With 2024 shaping up to be a huge year for the sport, we are convinced the Boxing News app will establish itself as a must-have for boxing fans and become an essential part of fight nights for hardcore and casual boxing fans alike.

Finally, Neil Fairweather, Bet365’s chief marketing operations officer, weighed in on the matter, praising Checkd Dev’s team for creating an app that will bring fans closer to the boxing action than ever before. He described the new app as a “very engaging product” that is based around a strong brand identity.
Fairweather concluded: “We look forward to working in partnership with both iD Sports Media and Checkd moving forward as the boxing world prepares for a heavyweight title bout of historical significance.”
