CasinoRank: Pragmatic Play Dominates Slots Globally, Evolution Draws 335K Daily Players on Crazy Time

The crash game genre continues to drive engagement, as Pragmatic Play consolidates dominance in online slot vertical

CasinoRank has released a six-month analysis covering the period between April and September 2025 and taking a look at real player data to sum up relevant industry developments, such as the most played online casino games, as well as key trends that are helping to drive differentiation in iGaming.

Pragmatic Play is possibly holding eight of the world’s nine most-played slot titles, with Evolution’s Crazy Time boasting more than 335,000 daily players, an eye-watering record. CasinoRank also took a look at another resurgent market – crash games, which saw another jump with Aviator leading the way, and Latin America recording a 34% growth quarter-over-quarter in this particular segment.

CasinoRank lead analyst Emily Thompson had this to say, commenting on the findings: “The six-month data confirms the dual nature of today’s market. Players stick with trusted slot mechanics for consistency, turn to crash games for quick bursts of excitement, and commit the most time to live dealer experiences. The operators who win will anchor their lobbies with proven titles and invest boldly in innovation: from localized crash formats to next-gen live dealer studios.”

Gates of Olympus was the leading slot game not just for Pragmatic Play, but also globally, having the biggest visibility in casino lobbies. While Aviator is continuing to consolidate its position in the crash game genre, Pragmatic Play is similarly contesting the vertical, with the company delivering on several high-profile and largely successful games so far, among which are:

  • Big Bass Crash
  • High Flyer
  • Spaceman

The crash game genre is now accounting for the vast majority of play, CasinoRank argued in its survey, indicating that this new way of engaging players has been vastly successful, prompting companies to pay closer attention and seek to deliver stronger results.

In terms of individual regions, there have been interesting trends to report as well. Apart from Latin America, which saw a 34% jump in crash play, Southeast Asia reported a 27% increase in adoption during the same period, and Asia-Pacific further saw a 28% jump in live dealer engagement.

Europe and North America, however, remain the main markets for slot gaming, but overall, technological progress has been far-reaching, with 5G-powered streaming and multi-camera setups increasing session lengths in the live casino genre by 15-20 minutes.

“Crash titles continue to benefit from exposure on Twitch and YouTube, though analysts warn that over-reliance on influencer-driven virality could undermine long-term stability,” the report further noted.
