Bruno Mars Reveals Dates as He Nears 100th Show on the Las Vegas Strip

Bruno Mars’ relationship with Park MGM in Las Vegas stems from at least 2016, when it was announced that he had signed a two-year deal with the resort

Bruno Mars has expanded his sold-out run at Dolby Live with nine additional dates, scheduled from August 22 to September 3–6. Tickets are already available for presale.

New Bruno Mars Las Vegas Concert Dates Announced

The 15-time Grammy Award winner will complete his 99th show at the Park MGM theater on June 2, with his 100th performance expected on August 22. This total does not include the 34 shows he performed as part of Silk Sonic with Anderson Paak.

The popular singer has had a long history with Las Vegas, performing there for years. Bruno Mars kicked off his residency at Park MGM over New Year’s Eve weekend in 2018 and has since performed more shows at Dolby Live than any other headliner. Cher follows with 78 shows between 2017 and 2020, while Lady Gaga has played 72 shows across her “Enigma” and “Jazz + Piano” residencies from 2019 to 2024. According to the latest available data from the music industry, Mars’ residency ranks among the top 10 of all time, with grosses reaching $124.5 million, placing it at No. 9 on the list. The singer has also been an avid casino player, according to some sources. In fact, there was even a rumor that Mars had a $50M gambling debt going around a few months ago.

MGM Resorts International’s Long Collaboration with Mars

Bruno Mars’ relationship with Park MGM in Las Vegas stems from at least 2016, when it was announced that he had signed a two-year deal with the resort. This marked Mars’ second concert residency, following his earlier performances at The Chelsea. Bill Hornbuckle, president of MGM Resorts International, remarked: “There is no stronger launching pad for a new venue than for Mars to be among the first to grace its stage.”

The singer has also performed multiple times at MGM National Harbor, the first show being on December 27, 2016. This was followed by two performances at the Park Theater in Las Vegas on December 30 and 31, 2016. In 2017, Mars played a total of eight shows – two at the Theater at MGM National Harbor and six at the Park Theater.

In 2020, Mars’ concerts at both venues were few in number, mainly due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Moreover, MGM Resorts announced the cancelation of shows planned for April 20, 24, and 25 at the Park Theater. However, on April 26, 2021, it was announced that Mars would return to the venue for a new series of concerts starting over the Fourth of July weekend. Tickets for the scheduled shows sold out within minutes of the announcement.

Since then, the singer’s popularity in the Las Vegas venue has continually been growing. December 31, 2024, Mars made Las Vegas history by setting the record for the highest-grossing theater concert in a residency. The performance drew 5,314 attendees and generated $3.278 million in revenue.
