Atalanta vs. Liverpool 2024 Europa League Odds, Time, and Prediction
Atalanta vs. Liverpool is the second leg of the Europa League quarterfinal matchup, which will take place at Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo, Italy, on Thursday, April 18, 2024
Last Thursday, Atlanta absolutely humiliated Liverpool in front of its fans at Anfield. The Italians won 3-0, which was Liverpool’s most embarrassing loss at home since 2015.
To make things even worse, the loss has made it incredibly hard for the Reds to get to the next phase of the 2024 Europa League. In fact, they need to beat Atalanta by a three-goal margin just to take the game to extra time. Can they pull it off? Not if you’re asking Atalanta.
Atalanta vs. Liverpool Odds
Moneyline | Odds |

Liverpool | -125 |
When, Where, and How to Watch?
- Place: Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo, Italy
- Date: Thursday, April 18, 2024
- Time: 3:00 PM ET
- How to Watch: Paramount+
Atalanta Having No Intention to Lose Its Europa League Spot
Atalanta hasn’t been too impressive in the Italian Serie A this season and might miss out on qualifying for a spot in one of European competitions next season. However, if they win the Europa League, these guys will qualify for the Champions League.
So, can they pull it off? Well, the first obstacle on that road is Liverpool. Although it may appear that their job is done after beating the Reds 3-0, this team mustn’t be underestimated. Atalanta’s players are aware of this, which is why you can be certain that they’re going to take Thursday’s game very seriously.
What’s really great is that the game is played in Bergamo, which is where they won 10 of their last 11 home games. The bad news, however, is that the last time they played at home against Liverpool, they lost 5-0.
Can Liverpool Cause a Sensation on April 18?
The Reds looked bleak in the first game with Atalanta, the reason for which may lie in the fact that they’re preoccupied with the Premier League, which is where they’re competing for the title. However, this team definitely has the manpower to fight on several fronts at once.
Liverpool has some sensational players on the roster, and the best thing is that most of its key men are fit. With the exception of goalkeeper Alisson, practically all of the Reds’ crucial players are expected to play on Thursday.
You can be confident that the Reds will go all-in in Bergamo, but will they score enough to win, or at least take the game to extra time?
Atalanta vs. Liverpool Prediction
Our prediction is that we’re going to see a lot of goals on April 18. Liverpool needs to score at least three to stay in the game. That number will go up if Atalanta manages to score. That said, over 2.5 looks certain. But who will win? We think it’s gotta be Liverpool, although we’re not sure if it’s going to be enough to advance to the next stage of the 2024 Europa League.
