Arkansas Players Win Big Prizes, Anonymous Man Grabs $600K

The Arkansas Lottery announced that two players have won significant sums. One of them grabbed a life-changing $600,000 sum, while the other secured a $75,000 prize.

The first prize was won on July 10 in the Natural State Jackpot drawing. The winner had purchased his ticket at Jordan’s Kwik Stop #64 on 19888 Highway 18 E. in Monette and had entered the correct numbers.

For context, the winning numbers for the July 10 drawing were 15, 16, 24, 32 and 34.

The winner, according to the lottery, was working in Monette when he bought the ticket. He described himself as a frequent National State Jackpot (NSJ) player. He also admitted to having bought three separate tickets for the July 10 drawing with ten plays for each.

On Friday night, the fortunate player checked his local news app to see that someone had purchased the winning ticket in the exact shop where he bought his. After checking his tickets, he confirmed that the winner was, indeed, him.

His wife doubted his words, thinking he was joking, until he showed her definitive proof.

On July 15, the man visited the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center to claim his prize. In an interview with lottery officials, he said that he was shocked to win such a sum. He plans to use the money to pay off his house and other bills, invest in stocks and save money for his child.

The Natural State Jackpot was reset and stood at $75,000 for the July 16 drawing.

Springdale Woman Bags $75K

In the meantime, another lucky customer, this time from Springdale, grabbed $75,000 with a $3 ticket for the Extra! Extra! Crossword instant game. Identified as Michelle H., the winner purchased the winning ticket at Kum & Go #414 on 1220 E. Robinson in Springdale.

The woman went to claim her prize on July 11 and told lottery officials that she had bought the ticket on a whim during a trip to buy a drink. This fateful decision eventually left her $75,000 richer.

In an interview with the Arkansas Lottery, the woman said that she still had a hard time believing that she had won such a significant sum. She said that she plans to invest in home repairs.
