AGA Names Delaware North CEO Lou Jacobs as Chair

The AGA also highlighted the contributions of the outgoing chair Rumbolz, who has assisted the association in advancing key policy wins at state and federal levels

The American Gaming Association (AGA) announced that its board of directors has named Louis “Lou” M. Jacobs as its new chair, replacing Michael Rumbolz. The association clarified that Jacobs’ tenure will kick off in January 2026.

AGA Names Gaming & Hospitality Veteran as Chair

The AGA noted that Jacobs, who is currently serving as chief executive officer of Delaware North, has the exact experience the association was looking for. As CEO of Delaware North, Jacobs is intimately familiar with the gaming industry and has significant leadership expertise that will help the organization in its future endeavors.

The AGA noted that Delaware North is a “family-oriented leader in hospitality and entertainment,” the gaming division of which continues to expand its casino, sports betting and online gaming portfolio.

In addition to serving Delaware North as CEO, Jacobs was described as a person committed to community service. The AGA noted that he is currently chairing the capital campaign for FeedMore WNY, a charity dedicated to alleviating hunger in Western New York.

The AGA also highlighted the contributions of the outgoing Rumbolz, who has assisted the association in advancing key policy wins at state and federal levels. His tenure has also seen the AGA advance its responsible gaming programs and support the broader industry’s efforts against illegal gambling operators.

Jacobs Was Excited to Join the AGA Team

Jacobs commented on his appointment, saying that he is honored to join the AGA at “such a dynamic time.” He added that he is excited about the opportunity to continue the association’s success and collaborate with its team.
