$60 Million Kick Deal Rejected by Kai Cenat in 2023

Recently, Kai Cenat became the first Twitch streamer to hit 1 million active Twitch members. He is one of the most popular content creators.

A recently uploaded clip on X shows Kai sharing with Kirk Franklin, a gospel magician, about how in 2023 he turned down a deal for $60 million with Kick.

He described his reason for declining the deal as his belief that the money to promote gambling would have made him lose focus on his goals.

Kai believed that his financial situation at the time was stable and that he did not require the money he would have gained by promoting, by his own words, “sh*t that I did not like” for a quick buck.

More Important Than Money

This is not the first time Kai has prioritized other projects despite the large amount of money he could have gained.

Recently, in 2025, Kai turned down deals with Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Tubi as he chose to put his time and effort into “Streamer University”.

These rejections were made by Kai in order to guarantee that he would remain in full control of the project and to ensure that the show remained as raw and unscripted as possible.

He produced and funded the whole show himself.

Many other content creators have made choices similar to Kai Cenat’s.
